Cadets in the North of Scotland were delighted to hear that plans for a new cadet hut to be built had been approved by the local council, following the demolition of the old, outdated one.
As well as being more attractive and functional, the new building will be better equipped with drill hall, two classrooms, an office, kitchen, store and toilets.
