The approved ACF Award Training Badges are awarded to cadets that complete a multitude of activities. To be worn on the blanking plate on the PCS Uniform.
The approved smaller sized ACF training award badges to be worn on the new Personal Clothing System Combat Uniform blanking plates as per the Army Dress Regulations Part 8, Section 3.
The ACF training award badges are awarded to cadets that complete a multitude of activities.
Basic Award Badge
Awarded to cadets that complete a multitude of activities including an introduction to basic weapon handling, the country code and map reading.
The One Star Badge
Awarded to cadets upon completing a range of challenges including weapon handling skills for both the .22 rifle and the cadet GP (general purpose) rifle, basic first aid and an introduction to ordinance survey map reading and expedition equipment.
The Two Star Badge
Awarded to cadets upon achieving a high standard of turnout and bearing, have the ability to relate a map to ground and vice versa, on gaining a first aid qualification and who have undertaken an expedition of at least 15 miles including one overnight stay.
The Three Star badge
Awarded to cadets who are able to command a squad and undertake advanced map reading including night navigation, a 25 mile expedition should be completed including two overnight stays. The light support weapon is introduced at this level and cadets should also take part in community activity.
The Four Star badge
Awarded to cadets upon qualifying as an adult first aider, they must also lead a community project and take part in a shooting competition with any .22 rifle, GP rifle or the full bore target rifle. Cadets are also required to attend the senior cadet instructor course.

Group One Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) - Dress Regulations
a. Cadets who have passed the appropriate star grade are to wear the appropriate badge.
b. Cadets who have been awarded the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) Basic are to wear a 4 pointed blue worsted star, 3.8cm in diameter, on a khaki base.
c. Cadets who have been awarded the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) One Star are to wear a 4 pointed blue worsted star, 3.8cm in diameter marked with the number 1, on a khaki base.
d. Cadets who have been awarded the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) Two Star are to wear a 4 pointed blue worsted star, 3.8cm in diameter marked with the number 2, on a khaki base.
e. Cadets who have been awarded the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) Three Star are to wear a 4 pointed red worsted star, 3.8cm in diameter marked with the number 3, on a khaki base.
f. Cadets who have been awarded the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) Four Star are to wear a 4 pointed red worsted star, 3.8cm in diameter marked with the number 4, on a khaki base.
g. Cadets who have been awarded the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) Master Cadet are to wear a 4 pointed red worsted star, 3.8cm in diameter marked with the Letter M, on a Gold base.
h. Only the highest qualification is to be worn
